Hello again! This is my fourth publically released non-competition simfile. I wouldn't say it's my best by a long shot (it's pretty repetitive in parts, although I don't think there is much else I could do) but it's a nice song, so I wanted to step it. It's from Kanako Hoshino's first 'mini-album', Eight Elements Of The Star. This particular song is the eighth. Tatsh did the music, if you were wondering.

Sorry about the long cut. If you don't count the leadin it's actually 'just' 2:10 of stepping time but yes that's overly long. I couldn't get it any shorter without making the song sound crappy (for instance, cutting out measures 6-14) and just generally ruining the overall flow. In my defense the original song is like 5 minutes long... I did a nice job with the ending, right? ;)

For some reason I felt like using random pointless patterns in the steps. The ratings are 1-2-4-8 (2 to the power of 0, 1, 2 and 3). Beginner ends on a left arrow, light ends on a right, standard ends on a down and heavy ends on an up. Light has 164 steps, same as the BPM. The rhythm of the second half of the first piano part near the end is 'recycled' as the rhythm of the first half of that bit in the next difficulty up. You know, pointless stuff like that which nobody but me cares about :P Blame it on boredom and/or sleep deprivation, I haven't slept since Sunday.

Incidentally, I didn't really set out to do that with the ratings, they just happened. Standard ended up only half as difficult as heavy since heavy is almost entirely 8ths (it's actually true this time okay Juub >_>) and so I made Standard mostly 4ths (well, with offbeats) following the background rhythm differently than Heavy does. Light and Beginner are, well, just really easy. I'm not sure whether I like heavy or standard more, I think they're about equal with each other. If anything standard might have the edge, especially considering I seem to keep making standard charts that are better than my heavy charts lately... -_-

There are no freeze arrows. I don't get along well with freeze arrows most of the time, and only tend to use them in certain specific songs. Otherwise I'm just no good at using them (I'm no sanchny... :P) so I tend to leave them out entirely.

Thanks to whoever gave me this album originally (I don't remember :( )

Ok see you next time!
